Tanja Visosevic is an interdisciplinary artist, screen critic, theorist, and educator whose work delves into the relationship between moving image, performance, and the exploration of cultural and philosophical questions. Her projects often challenge traditional audiovisual practices by embracing new digital technologies, evident in her interactive mobile phone performances such as Oh Bon!, commissioned by Fremantle Arts Centre, and her The Living Screen project, developed at SymbioticA.
As a lecturer at Edith Cowan University’s School of Arts and Humanities, Visosevic blends her research in new media platforms with teaching, encouraging students to rethink the possibilities of the moving image. Her approach places a strong emphasis on equity and diversity, aiming to nurture a new generation of screen practitioners who will contribute to a more inclusive and innovative industry
